Empathy Matters is thankful to have received wonderful feedback from the organizations, schools, and groups we have presented to.

The compliments we often see about the material we present praises the depth of scientific theory, research, and resources, and most importantly how that is applied in practice in the real world.

The workshops get strong marks for being enthusiastic and fun. We aim to have a high level of interaction with the group to share our passion and knowledge, rather than simply reading off a PowerPoint presentation.

We also work to ensure the group enjoys a good amount of activity and participation as the workshop progresses. This helps keep everyone excited, interested, and engaged.

THANK YOU! for such a wonderful presentation. We were all inspired by your ideas, knowledge and passion. We have all carried something with us today and used this in our interactions. Lots of ‘lightbulb moments’ were happening in the room last night. WE WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU BACK IN!!! Especially to discuss strategies and responses.

The workshops have helped me to symbolise my own emotions and feelings….put them in words and try to make sense of them….also I feel more empathic towards children‘s different emotions, and how we have to respect and understand their feelings.

I have enjoyed your Korero talks…the workshops have been valuable to me as a reflective teacher wanting to improve my interaction with the children.

Group discussion helped with team building and created team awareness of our own feelings and reactions to the children. The programme has impacted my practice. I feel I am more attentive to my own emotions… not just a hug and you will be OK approach!

I am seeing emotions more positively… I see them as a chance to get close to the children and help them develop emotional competence.

It is such an important topic for both children and teachers… Emotional awareness, especially in early childhood, should be in the front of your mind at all times. The ability to be aware of feelings in yourself and children, to act accordingly is of great value for emotional wellbeing development.
